Reviewers love the discounted air styler, and some shoppers have compared it to a much pricier styler

It’s the final day of the Amazon Prime Day deals, but shoppers can still score lots of bargains. One deal has seen a “brilliant” hair styler that a shopper claims is “better than Dyson” reduced by 60%.

The BaByliss Air Styler 1000W has been reduced from £75 to £29.99 for Prime members. According to the product description, the gadget has four attachments and offers ‘all in one hair styling’ using ‘frizz-free technology.’ The description states: “Transform your hair routine with the BaByliss Air Style 1000.

“Designed for ultimate convenience and versatility. Effortlessly dry, curl, smooth and style like a salon pro – all with one tool!” The styler has two heat settings plus a cool shot, along with a 2.5m swivel cord, and an advanced ionic system.

Amazon reduces ‘best ever’ hair straightener ‘better than ghd’ from £80 to £23

Amazon reduces ‘number one best seller’ Russell Hobbs iron from £50 to £15

Shoppers looking for alternatives might prefer the Dyson Airwrap .i.d. Patina & Topaz Straight to Wavy, which is currently on sale for £429.99 from £479.99 at Boots.

Elsewhere, the REVAMP Dynamic Radiance Pro Blow Dry DR-2850GD-GB 7-in-1 Ionic Air Styler is down to £120 from £180 at Currys, and Shark has reduced the Shark FlexStyle Build Your Own Air Styling & Hair Drying System to £199.99 from £249.99

For beauty lovers interested in the BaByliss Air Styler, Amazon’s website lists several reviews which could be worth reading before making a purchase. However, it’s worth noting that the feedback is mixed.

One happy shopper said: “I haven’t used hair straighteners since I bought this, my hair is naturally very curly and I’ve never got the hang of using a round brush and a hairdryer.

“The heat proof glove is a really important thing to use as the brush does get hot (as you would expect/hope for) I’m so pleased and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a quick and easy salon style blow out.”

However, an unimpressed customer wrote: “The brush gets really hot so is difficult to style with it and the air pressure isn’t that much on the normal hair dryer. They provide gloves but the gloves only stop your hands from burning but doesn’t stop the heat coming through entirely so you have to take breaks.”

Meanwhile, other commenters debated how the gadget compares to pricier stylers. Someone claimed: “This is brilliant. It makes blow drying hair so quick and easy. I’m not too fussed about the curling attachment but for the mini hairdryer and brushes this is well worth the money.

“Wish I saw this before I bought the Dyson Airwrap (luckily I was able to return it). I think this is much better than the Dyson version (trust me I’ve tried it and it’s not worth the hype or money) and a lot cheaper too.”

Another response read: “I can’t say it’s exactly like the Dyson airwrap but it’s a fantastic [alternative] for the money. It makes my fine hair look voluminous and shiny and has cut out some of the heat being used on my hair, as I’m not needing to straighten it because of the brush adapter that leaves it sleek. Overall I’m super happy with this and have a couple of friends interested in buying it.

“The only downfall is the size, while it’s lightweight, it’s extremely long which has taken some getting used to especially when using the round brush and curling adapters.”

Elsewhere, a shopper with mixed feedback wrote: “Only experiential difference between the Dyson airwrap and this is that this one doesn’t auto-rotate, but it’s so easy to use. BIG benefit was that the device stopped working after 2 months, and Amazon/the Seller eagerly sent me a new one to replace it. I am very happy with not just the product, but the honoring of the warranty. New one is blissfully working without issue.”
