Budget supermarket Aldi has rivalled Marks & Spencer with the launch of its viral Christmas snack tins that are half the price
Marks & Spencer’s Merry Munch tins went viral a few years ago and have since made reappearances on major holidays.
However, at £10, they are on the pricier side for a tin of chocolate. Luckily, Aldi has excited shoppers with its own version of the munch box, costing a more wallet-friendly £4.99.
The supermarket has launched its own version of M&S’ viral Christmas snack tins, but at half the price.
Aldi’s new launch means shoppers can enjoy similar festive snacks for a fraction of the cost.
With the cost-of-living crisis still around, we’re definitely all feeling the pinch, and with the countdown to Christmas officially on, these purse-friendly snack mixes are set to be a big hit.

Aldi’s Munch Mix tins are only 300g compared to the 460g you can get with M&S’s Original Munch Refill Pack or Tin. However, Aldi still works out cheaper at 51p per 100g, while M&S tins are £1.52 per 100g.
Aldi’s new tins are filled with a selection of salted pretzels, toffee popcorn, mini chocolate eggs and more, plus a version with jelly sweets is available. It’s the perfect box to have open on your coffee table in the lead up to Christmas.
Plus, shoppers can reuse the tin again and again and nab refill bags from Aldi.
In other supermarket news, John Lewis has replaced its viral Lulu Guinness designer tote bags with a new design from Tommy Hilfiger, with Hilfiger’s signature red, white and blue colour palette.
Priced at £15, these roomy totes are an ideal Christmas gift for any fans of supermarket totes. They’re currently available on the John Lewis app for members with early access, and will soon be dropping on the website.
