The ‘long lasting’ perfume has a scent reminiscent of Jo Malone’s famous Pomegranate Noir, yet it comes at a much more affordable price

Aldi’s affordable perfume range is getting praise from shoppers, with the supermarket’s own-label offerings gaining cult status for their quality and value. Budget-savvy shoppers are especially enamoured with Aldi’s Hotel Collection No 3 Pomegranate Eau De Parfum, available for a mere £6.99 for a 100ml bottle.

The fragrance has been hailed as the ‘most gorgeous smelling perfume’ on social media, with comparisons drawn to Jo Malone’s renowned Pomegranate Noir Cologne, which costs a hefty £118 for the same quantity. By choosing Aldi’s version, customers are pocketing an impressive saving of £111.

Over on Facebook, in the Aldi UK Shoppers group, one fan raved: “This is the most gorgeous smelling perfume.” The post quickly attracted a flood of likes and comments in agreement. Linda chimed in, saying: “Oh yes I agree.”

Christine declared it was: “Love this great for day use”, reports the Manchester Evening News. Sally shared her recent purchase experience: “Bought this last week. It’s lovely.”

Adding to the chorus of approval, Joanne expressed: “I too love this perfume and I get more compliments wearing this than I do when I wear expensive perfumes.” Debbie enthused: “I adore this perfume. It lasts all day.”

Suzie even went as far as to label it a perfect stand-in for the designer scent: “It’s a [alternative] of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir…my favourite.” Jane pitched in with her endorsement: “I agree and it’s exactly the same scent as Joe Malone.”

Jan wasn’t thrilled and expressed, “I love it but my oh thinks it smells like disinfectant.” Chelle had a similar experience, disclosing: “I loved this but threw it away because hubby and kids told me I smelled like a granny.”

When it comes to the composition, Jo Malone’s fragrance list boasts Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Benzyl Benzoate, and Cinnamyl Alcohol. Meanwhile Aldi’s take includes Geranoil, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Alph-isomethyl Lonone, Eugenol, Citral.

Aldi isn’t stopping with perfume; it is also offering a hand and body wash in the alluring No 3 Pomegranate scent for just £1.99, along with a sumptuously scented 335g candle priced at £3.49. In stark contrast, a mere 200g candle from Jo Malone’s Pomegranate Noir rings in at a hefty £56.

Candle enthusiasts will be buzzing with excitement knowing Aldi’s much-loved Hotel Collection range is gearing up for a grand return of the XXL Inclusion Candle (£24.99, 4.5kg) come this Sunday (November 24). And for those seeking something different, there’s the fresh addition of the Hotel Collection Rectangle Inclusion Candle (£15.99, 1.1kg) waiting in the wings.
