The Home Essentials Side Table might not be elaborate, but its “gorgeous” oak finish transforms it into a fashionable complement to any space. It functions particularly well in the lounge, dining area, or next to your bed.
It won’t occupy much room either, measuring just 45 cm tall and 45 cm across. There’s still ample surface space for a hot beverage, treasured ornaments, or beloved photographs and keepsakes.
“Give your living room a fresh new look with this Home Essentials Side Table with Oak Finish,” states the product description on the B&M website. “With its gorgeous oak finish, this classic wooden side table will go with a number of different design themes.”
Comparable items are stocked at other homeware shops and major supermarkets. If you want something bigger, Tesco has its similar-looking Modern Dining Table, though it’s priced at a steeper £199.90.
No, it isn’t a side table, but it gives off a similar vibe to the B&M option, and has added versatility thanks to its ability to extend up to 180cm. It also has een more tabletop space which could be ideal for family gatherings, parties and events.
The Tesco product description states: “This dining table features an oak-effect finish, extendable via a folding design. Extendable from 90 cm to 180 cm, it is suitable for areas limited by space or for accommodating extra guests.
“Suitable for up to eight people when extended. Note that this is a flatpack item and will require assembly; picture instructions and a written notice are included and should be reviewed before attempting assembly.”
It stands 77 cm tall, 180 cm wide, and 90 cm deep, providing ample room for dining or as a versatile occasional table. In contrast to the B&M version, which is exclusively a side table and available only for collection in-store, the Tesco table offers home delivery.
