As the final countdown to Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay’s Christmas wedding begins, the Mirror takes a look at what they’ve been up to, and the final heartbreaking snub Caroline Peaty has endured
The wedding of Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay is mere days away, and sadly, the blows just keep coming for the Peaty clan – the majority of whom will not be invited on the big day.
Olympian Adam, 30, and 25-year-old Holly, the daughter of top chef Gordon Ramsay, are reportedly set to say ‘I do’ at a grand ceremony at Bath Abbey on December 27. In the build up, the young couple have been enjoying themselves away from the business of wedding planning, even jetting off on a Christmas holiday with Holly’s famous family.
Sadly, the Peatys have remained firmly out in the cold, with mum Caroline Peaty’s 60th birthday apparantly going uncelebrated by the pair. Here the Mirror takes a look at what Adam and Holly have been up to inbetween last minute wedding prep.

Festive Northern Lights getaway
In the lead-up to the big day, Adam and Holly jetted off on a festive getaway to Finland, taking time out of their hectic schedules to enjoy romantic sleigh rides, and excursions to see the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights.
The loved-up couple were accompanied by Adam’s five-year-old son George, who he shares with former partner Eiri Munro, and Holly’s parents, Gordon and Tana. On Friday evening (December 19), Holly updated followers on her adventures via her Instagram Story with snaps of the aurora borealis, as well as another taken from inside an aeroplane, captioned: “Home”.
Other funfilled holiday snaps showed Adam waist deep in piles of heavy snow, and little George hopping aboard a miniature snowmobile.
Although Adam made sure to update followers on Thursday (December 18), he made no reference to the fact that it was also mum Caroline’s milestone 60th birthday, despite tributes pouring in from elsewhere. Taking to Instagram as her son frollicked in the snow, Caroline confirmed she’d turned 60, and shared warm wishes from various family members.
This included one that read: “Happy 60th birthday to one of the strongest woman I’ve ever met… thank you for everything you’ve done for us and the boys! Thank you for guiding me through the good and the bad… you’ve been there for me for 18 years and I’m truly grateful so please put your feet up, relax and enjoy your day.”
Meanwhile, Caroline’s aunt Janet and uncle Eddie shared a sweet nostalgic collage pic of photos taken right from her birth, captioned: “It only seems like yesterday since you were born Caroline, a lovely Christmas present making me an aunty for the first time. Many happy returns of the day, happy 60th birthday to you.”
Lavish dinner with pals
On Monday evening, Adam and Holly enjoyed a slap up meal at dad Gordon’s Lucky Cat restaurant, where they were joined by Eve Winnington, the wife of Aussie swimmer Elijah Winnington, and another good friend.
Lavish dishes of prawns and caviar coated sushi were on the menu at the stylish Mayfair eatery, where the ‘chef’s table’ sets diners back as much as £180 per person.
Holly appeared to opt for the £135 seafood platter on the night, with photographs showing a sumptuous selection of sushi, salted edamame and sweet and sour prawns. The bride-to-be made sure to mark the night with a bathroom selfie with pal Eve, and it appears as though a fun night was had by all.
This comes as Adam and Holly were spotted leaving the swish Robun Japanese sushi restaurant and cocktail bar with Gordon, Tana, and Holly’s sister Tilly, 24. Young George was also in attendence and could be seen holding hands with his stepmother-to-be.
Accoridng to fellow diners, Adam and Holly appeared to be “inseparable”. One person told The Daily Mail: “They were all over each other, giggling and fooling about. Whatever problems there may be in the family, they certainly weren’t showing it”.
Locals’ fury
While there’s been plenty of joy in the run up to the wedding, Adam and Holly have also had to put up with the opinions of disgruntled Bath locals, who reportedly aren’t happy about the couple’s apparent decision to block book the Abbey for their 90-minute ceremony, ensuring no other ceremonies can take place.
Although hiring the abbey out for a wedding usually costs around £2,500, it’s believed Adam and Holly have shelled out several thousand more for exclusive use, according to The Sun. One resident told the publication: “It seems rather selfish to be hiring the abbey for the whole day when your wedding service only lasts for an hour and a half or so.”
Caroline’s heartache
It’s understood that heartbroken mum Caroline will no longer be welcome at the festive wedding, with Adam’s sister Bethany expected to be the only member of the Peaty clan in attendance.
In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Caroline shared: “The message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point.”
She continued: “There’s nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive. I love you so much. I hope your marriage is a good one, I don’t wish any ill on you and I want you and Holly to have a long and happy marriage. The reason I’m speaking out is I want all this to end.”
Caroline wasn’t present at Holly’s hen party, which included her mum Tana, Victoria Beckham, close family friends and her siblings, and this apparent snub brought the brewing family tensions to light.
The mum, who has dedicated herself to supporting Adam’s swimming career, says she was instead at home caring for grandson George. According to Caroline, the row between her, Holly and Adam began when her extended family was not invited to the engagement party.
In a bid to have her voice heard, Caroline says she sent Holly a text, which infuriated Adam. She also claimed she felt her son was in “Gordon’s clutches”, deepening the already painful rift.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, Caroline reflected that the last year had been among the most hardest of her life, while vowing to make a fresh start in 2026. She declared: “This year, I met the most broken version of myself but also the strongest. 2026, get ready, because I’m coming back stronger than ever.”
