Police were alerted to a ‘bag with possible remains’ in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, close to Loch Lomond, where body parts of a 38-year-old man were recently found
A bag containing “possible remains” was found in West Dunbartonshire, Police Scotland said.
Officers were called to the Arthurston Road area of Alexandria at about 9.45am on Sunday following the distressing discovery. Police said the contents of the bag are being assessed and that investigations are ongoing.
The discovery comes weeks after the remains of Graham Wright were sadly found at Rubha Dubh, on the shores of Loch Lomond, on September 13. It is understood that detectives are not treating the find on Sunday as linked to the 38-year-old’s disappearance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.45am on Sunday November 2 2025, police were made aware of a bag with possible remains found in the Arthurston Road area of Alexandria. The contents are being assessed and inquiries are ongoing.”
