Amazon is holding it’s Prime Day sale early this year so here’s everything you need to know and what items shoppers might want to add to their wish list in preparation
Amazon is hosting its 2026 Prime Day sale earlier than usual this year, running from June 23 to 26 instead of July, when it’s typically held. That means that some shoppers will have less time than usual to decide what they might order during the major shopping event – but that’s where we can help.
Amazon Prime Day has become one of the biggest shopping events of the year – second only to Black Friday. I’ve worked the event four years in a row and regularly spot patterns and trends not only on what might be discounted, but our readers’ buying habits, too.
I’ve taken a look at the numbers to see just what shoppers were snapping up on Prime Day 11 months ago, from smart watches and home tech to beauty staples and summer essentials. While we can’t predict exact deals, we can get a sense of what categories are likely to dominate when the discounts drop again next week.
For those who haven’t shopped Amazon Prime Day before and are wondering how it works, deals will run from Tuesday, June 23 until Friday, June 26, giving shoppers a four day window to take advantage of the offers. Discounts will span a variety of categories, officially launching at 12am on 23 June, and will close out at 11:59pm on June 26, with a constantly evolving roster of deals to shop from.
To shop the Prime Day deals you’ll need to be an Amazon Prime member, which means signing up here. You can sign up at any time during the Prime Day window, or before it, and will be given instant access to all the offers available.

Now is the ideal time to start building those wish lists in preparation of the discounts. But if you need some inspiration, here’s what flew off the (virtual) shelves last year, and what it could suggest for 2026’s event.
Smart watches and fitness trackers
Wearable tech dominated Prime Day shopping last year, with budget-friendly smart watches proving especially popular. Last year, we saw more than 4,000 customers snap up this The TRAUSI Smart Watch, which was reduced from £129.99 to £20.99. While it’s currently £99.99, it boasts a range of features including Bluetooth calling, message notifications, heart rate/sleep monitoring, fitness tracking and timer capabilities. Additional features include an alarm clock, a phone locator and reminders for periods of inactivity.
Alternatively, for those who prefer more well-known brands, the Samsung Galaxy Fit3 was another top-seller, with 1,753 shipped last Prime Day. The Samsung smart watch boasts up to 13 days of battery life from a single charge and can reach 65% in just 30 minutes. The device can track over 100 workouts, including running, cycling, and walking, and provides valuable insights into sleep patterns, oxygen levels, and more.
Usually £59, it was down to £41 last year. It’s currently priced at £41 for the black version or £39.50 for the white.
In recent years we’ve seen a rise in shoppers prioritising things like health tracking and sleep monitoring, so we can expect to see even more watches and trackers reduced next week. Elsewhere, the Oura Ring 4 is currently reduced from £499.99 down to £399.99, saving £100 on the RRP. The discreet wearable tech is said to be the ‘most personalised smart ring ever’, tracking over 50 health and wellness metrics, from stress to women’s health.
Kitchen gadgets
In previous years, air fryers were the must-have kitchen appliance in the sales, but one somewhat unlikely kitchen gadget saw more than 770 people purchase last summer, and that’s the Morphy Richards microwave toastie maker . Originally £34.99, it was reduced to £19 as part of the sale.
Sadly, the exact model shoppers loved in 2025 is out of stock, but this Microwave Toastie Sandwich Maker is reduced to £15.99 on Amazon – and that’s before Prime Day has even begun.
Speaking on the nifty tool, one shopper said: “Thought I would give it a try out, could not be more impressed. So pleased with the results. Really well cooked, easy to operate and easy to clean.”
Another added: “Makes a perfect toastie! It’s so easy to clean (and can be put in the dishwasher) unlike the toastie machines you can get. It’s the perfect size for most types of sliced bread – I haven’t tried it, but I think you could make a panini if it wasn’t too thick. Used it loads and it seems pretty durable. Works just fine with gluten free bread.”
Though one four-star review mentioned that toasties need to go in the microwave for longer to crisp up, adding: “Really good. Toasts well and browns but needed to microwave for longer than recommended to obtain desired results.”
Air fryer accessories, sandwich makers and quick meal gadgets will likely be heavily discounted again. For those with limited cupboard space, this microwavable device could be a great alternative to a dedicated toastie maker.
Amazon devices
Unsurprisingly, Amazon’s own tech products performed strongly, and Prime Day remains the best time to invest in things like streaming devices and smart speakers.
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K was snapped up more than 580 times at £25.99, reduced from £59.99. The device is currently cheaper than last year’s sale price at £24.99, saving 58% on the RRP.
The Fire TV Stick features advanced 4K streaming with support for Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and immersive Dolby Atmos audio. It comes with an Alexa Voice Remote to quickly find and launch programmes, allowing you to watch your favourites from Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and more.
Another standout, selling over 200 units, was the Echo Pop speaker , down from £44.99 to £19.99. Despite being the most basic model in Amazon’s speaker range, the Echo Pop is still a highly capable device. Equipped with the Alexa voice assistant, it can be used to check the time, weather, and even control your smart home devices.
Shoppers can expect some pretty deep discounts on devices like Fire TV Sticks, Echo and Ring doorbells, which are perfect for anyone who may have just bought a house and are setting up their home tech system, or for those looking to upgrade their existing devices.
Beauty buys
For beauty fans, Prime Day is an opportunity to stock up on favourites, finally try out the product they’ve been eyeing up, or get ahead on gifts for the rest of the year. While most categories may see similar products, we see a lot of diversity in the beauty category, spanning fragrance, electricals and skincare.
My personal favourite is the Remington Shine Therapy Straighteners, selling more than 500 units. Usually £79.99, they’re currently down to £24.99 but we’ve seen them dip below the £20 mark during previous sales.
These are my go-to daily straighteners for both smoothing and curling my locks. I have tried plenty of more expensive alternatives from Dyson to Cloud Nine but I always come back to this budget-friendly pair.
Other popular items in this category included the Weleda Skin Food Light – a popular, celebrity-loved moisturiser – which was reduced from £12 to £7.66, as well as the Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely Eau de Parfum.
Another great sale event for saving money on cosmetics is the Boots £10 Tuesday sale, which runs weekly for 24 hours each Tuesday. Regularly discounted brands include the likes of No7, Olay and L’Oreal among many others.
This Prime Day, we might also expect to see some Korean skincare discounts as the K-beauty trend continues to gain momentum.
TVs
When it comes to those bigger ticket items that are often a more considered investment, like TVs, Prime Day is a great time to buy them at a discounted price. Last year, the LG 32LQ63806LC 32 inch Smart TV was in high demand after being cut from £349 to £189. It’s currently £218 on Amazon.
The discounted LG set is a smart TV thanks to webOS smart platform, meaning shoppers can access Freeview Play, Netflix, Disney+ and more. It can even be used as a gaming monitor or screen thanks to the built-in Game Optimiser. One thing to be aware of, however, is that this device isn’t 4K and only has a 1080p LED screen, so if you are looking for a super crisp picture, you may want to look elsewhere.
Elsewhere, this Bush 55 Inch 55UT24SB Smart 4K UHD HDR LED TiVo Freely TV has been reduced at Argos. Down from £259 to £229, it’s saving £30 and allows users to find, watch and enjoy their favourite content and the latest apps through voice search.
Heatwave essentials
Being slightly later in the year last year, the hot weather clearly influenced some shoppers’ buying behaviour. For those looking to stay hydrated, the Ninja insulated water bottle was a bargain. The Ninja Thirsti water bottle and flask was £21.99, saving 37%.
The bottle boasts the ability to keep beverages hot, cold or even fizzy for extended periods due to its “triple-vacuum insulation”. Available in six different colours, it was a sell out in previous sales, so if discounted again this year, is expected to be just as popular.
Another stand out was Shark’s FlexBreeze HydroGo Cordless Fan , reduced from £129.99 to £99. Weighing less than 2.1kg, it can be used either corded or cordless, it’s an ideal fan for use around the home, garden or at a picnic. The Shark fan features a long-lasting battery when not plugged in that can run up to 12 hours, depending on the speed setting.
Prime Day will provide an opportunity for shoppers to get ahead on heatwave essentials, be it hydration bottles or cooling gadgets.
If last year is anything to go by, the biggest winners will be wearable tech, home entertainment and security updates, beauty picks and summer essentials. There’s likely to be a mix of discounts on higher and lower priced items, but remember to check price history on sites like CamelCamelCamel to ensure you aren’t getting a dud deal.
