The Premier League season has barely finished but it is already time to look ahead to what is expected to be an enthralling summer transfer window.
Champions Manchester City have already wrapped up a deal for superstar striker Erling Haaland and are now on the hunt for a new midfielder, while Liverpool will again need to bolster their squad just to keep up and are trying to sign Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni.
It’s another new dawn at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag, and plenty of new faces are expected in at Old Trafford, while Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has already hinted at new attacking signings once Todd Boehly’s takeover at Stamford Bridge is completed.
Tottenham must add more quality to their squad now they are back in the Champions League, while Arsenal are expected to back Mikel Arteta again after performing above expectations to qualify for the Europa League. Reports suggest the north London rivals are battling for the signature of City star Gabriel Jesus.
The future of Robert Lewandowski will also be a major talking point as he prepares to leave Bayern Munich amid links to Barcelona, though Kylian Mbappe has announced he is staying put at Paris Saint-Germain and not joining Real Madrid after all, leaving LaLiga furious.
The window opens on June 10 and runs until 11pm BST on September 1.

Live updates
West Ham back in for Lingard
West Ham are planning to launch another move for Jesse Lingard, with the player now a free agent after leaving Manchester United.
The Hammers failed with a £20m bid last summer and Lingard spent an unhappy final season at Old Trafford, and was not even part of the matchday squad as United lost 1-0 at Crystal Palace on the final day of the season.
The Mail report that West Ham will turn back to Lingard 12 months on, though the player has interest from abroad.
Ramseys says bye to Rangers
Aaron Ramsey has posted a farewell message thanking Rangers fans for their support through “the highs and lows” of his four-month stint at Ibrox.
Ramsey failed to have the impact many supporters had hoped and after 13 appearances – nine as a starter – his last outing in light blue ended in despair when his penalty miss proved decisive as Eintracht Frankfurt beat Rangers in the Europa League final shootout in Seville.
The former Arsenal midfielder was an unused substitute in Saturday’s Scottish Cup victory over Hearts, but he posted a picture of himself smiling with the trophy on Instagram on Sunday.
“A nice way to finish the season especially after the big disappointment Wednesday,” he wrote. “Thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome.
“It’s been an incredible few months and I’m proud to be a small part of this club’s rich history. Thank you Rangers.”
Ten Hag press conference
At his press conference, Ten Hag said he was “really excited to be here”, and reiterated “I want to achieve success”.
He added: “The confidence is that I have a good feeling with the people around, I have a good feeling from the meetings.
“We have a plan and now it’s about to get the plan done, to co-operate, to be consistent in our plan.”
Arsenal to decide on three
Mohamed Elneny is set to be handed a one-year contract extension at Arsenal, with announcements expected over the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah in the coming days, writes Malik Ouzia.
All three players are due to be out of contract next month and Mikel Arteta confirmed following yesterday’s final game of the season that decisions have already been made over their fates beyond that.
He refused to reveal any details ahead of the official announcements, but Elneny was spotted posing for club photographs with a pen and paper in hand after the win over Everton, and is to extend his stay as one of the club’s longest-serving players, having joined in January 2016.
Neves open to Wolves exit
Ruben Neves has opened the door for a Wolves exit.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have previously been linked.
“The only thing I can tell you at the moment is that everyone knows what football is about, what our lives are about. Our career is really short and we need to take the opportunities we have,” Neves told reporters.
“All of us have dreams and we need to live those dreams in a small space of time. Let’s see what happens, I cannot say too much about it.”
Rice makes transfer decision
Declan Rice will reject any offer from Manchester United to stay at West Ham this summer, according to The Mirror.
West Ham are desperate to keep hold of their talisman, who has repeatedly rejected new contract offers.
His current deal expires in two years’ time but is in no rush to leave, according to the Mirror.
Ten Hag calls for patience
First day on the job and already asking for time. And you can’t blame him.
Ten Hag inherits a squad that has vastly underperformed this season and, speaking ahead of his unveiled at Old Trafford on Monday, said: “It’s a process, it will take time but I’m convinced we will come to that point where we get success.
“We have to work hard and it has to be based on the right philosophy and strategy.”
Real Madrid turn to Lewandowski
Real Madrid have identified Robert Lewandowski as their key striker target after missing out on Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
Barcelona have already confirmed they are in talks with Bayern over a deal for the striker, but Defensa Central claim their La Liga rivals are ready to join the hunt.
One to watch!
First Ten Hag interview
Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag has vowed to bring attacking football to the club, but has warned his players that he will not accept anyone not pulling their weight.
He said: “I want to build and construct a team who are battling for each other, who are unified and who will get results. Also we are playing in the Theatre of Dreams. We want to entertain.
“But in the end, the intention is to play fantastic football. If we can’t play fantastic football, we still have to win.”
He added: “That is what I expect. I have high expectations from myself and that is also what I demand from my squad. They have to co-operate together and they have to give every day their best. And I would say, for me, good is not good enough. We have to do better.”
