This popular high street skincare brand has just launched a new duo for creating healthy, hydrated skin this summer, and shoppers are already totally won over by the products

Almost everyone’s skin could benefit from extra hydration, especially in summer, when complexions can become drier and more dehydrated than usual. Luckily, one of our favourite skincare brands has just launched a simple two-step solution consisting of a cleanser and a face mist – and prices start from £6.50.

The INKEY List – a brand that’s much-loved by customers and beauty editors alike for its effective formulas and great value prices – has just launched a new Hydrating Cream-to-Milk Cleanser, £13, and a Hydro-Surge Dewy Face Mist, £11. There’s also a mini 50ml bottle of the cleanser (perfect for travel) for £6.50, and the two products can be bought together in a bundle for £22.80, saving you money compared to buying them individually (you also get a free washbag).

‘I tested 9 skin tints and this is the best lightweight face base I’ve found’

Trinny London’s new serum helps you ‘age backwards’ and repairs skin in 30 minutes

Any skincare should start with a cleanser, and this new INKEY List one has a lightweight, creamy consistency that’s clinically proven to give 24-hour hydration. One 59 year old called it “truly glorious”, and “rich, unctuous without being cloying, and truly lovely”. Other reviews call it “wow in a bottle”, “one of my favourite products” and “very effective and a good price”.

Other alternative creamy cleanser we love include Skin Rocks The Cream Cleanser, £32, La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser, £23.50, and BYOMA Milky Moisture Cleanser, £14.

The INKEY List’s Hydro-Surge Dewy Face Mist, meanwhile, can be used either after cleansing, after moisturiser or SPF, or throughout the day as needed. It contains ingredients to give both instant and long-lasting moisture and a radiant glow, with tests showing 12 hours of hydration.

It’s the shopper reviews, however, that are especially impressive. “Oh my goodness! This dewy face mist make my 50-year-old face feel so much younger,” one person wrote. “The mist gives my skin a nice youthful glow. Just right amount of hydration to reapply throughout the day. A game changer for my skin care routine.”

“Brilliant refreshing face mist,” another shopper said. “It kept my make-up looking lovely all day and felt lovely on my bare face too! The packaging is simple and sophisticated looking, I haven’t noticed a scent to this product but it works brilliantly.”

A third person called it “the perfect product for creating a glazed look”, continuing: “This product has become my holy grail for achieving the perfect dewy look. It gives my make-up an instant dewy fresh look and makes my skin look so glazed. Instantly gives a plumping effect to my skin and my skin feels hydrated throughout the day.”

One person, however, remarked that, although they liked it, it may not be suitable for oily skin, writing, “I really liked at first but it can be a little too much if I’m having a super oily day. It’s great for dry or normal skin but for my combo skin I have to be careful not to over-apply.” If this sounds like your skin type, you might get on better with a more mattifying mist such as La Roche-Posay Serozinc, £12 or PIXI Clarity Mist, £16, both of which are also great for breakouts.
